As a student, she studies Documentary Photography and Film at the Savannah College of Art and Design. However, her student status has not stopped her from pursuing independent work in these fields.

She uses her travel experience and years as a language analyst to supplement her work, photographing and writing about issues that reflect her passion for cultural diversity and human rights.

Courtney conducts informal, independent research in history, anthropology, and culture to provide a more holistic approach to her work, and promote a more in-depth understanding of the topics at hand.
